Stay in remote lodges nestled in stark beauty, and explore this hauntingly beautiful coastline with nature drives, quad biking, and sundowner escapades. Then, fly south to the iconic Sossusvlei dunes in the Namib Desert—towering, timeless giants best experienced at sunrise. Walk the surreal white clay pan of Deadvlei, picnic beneath ancient camelthorn trees, and let the stillness of the desert imprint itself on your soul. Tour Plan
Arrive at Windhoek’s International Hosea Kutako Airport, where you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind. Enjoy some leisure time, with lunch and dinner at your own convenience. Settle into your accommodation for a peaceful night.
After a delicious breakfast, check out and transfer to the local airport for a private charter flight to the north-west, reaching Möwe Bay. Upon arrival, embark on a scenic drive (approximately 2 hours) through the dramatic desert landscape. Along the way, you’ll pass decaying boats, the remains of a Ventura Bomber from a failed 1942 rescue attempt, and abandoned prospecting equipment—each a silent witness to the harshness of the region. Along the misty beaches, you’ll also encounter a small seal colony, whale bones, and shifting sand dunes. After reaching your lodge, check-in and enjoy lunch before the remainder of the day is free for you to relax. Dinner will be served at the lodge, where you’ll stay overnight.
This day is filled with exciting scheduled activities, arranged by the lodge, including scenic nature drives, thrilling quad biking, and sundowner drives along the beach. Explore the stunning coastal desert environment and create lasting memories.
After breakfast and check-out, enjoy a scenic drive back to Möwe Bay airstrip (approximately 2 hours). From here, take a light aircraft flight to the Sossusvlei area, home to some of the world’s highest free-standing sand dunes. Upon arrival, a lodge representative will transfer you to your lodge in time for lunch and check-in. If time permits, you may enjoy a shared activity to explore the Namib Desert in the afternoon.
Rise early for a shared excursion into the Namib Naukluft National Park. Enter the park at sunrise to witness the iconic dunes bathed in the soft light of early morning—a truly breathtaking sight. Explore the iconic areas of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, and enjoy a picnic in the shade of a camel thorn tree before returning to your lodge for a late lunch. The afternoon is free for you to relax.
On the final day, after breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Windhoek International Airport. Once there, our representative will assist you with check-in for your departure flight, bidding you farewell as you head off to your next destination.
